IBI Summer Institute 2015

  • Irish Bible Institute 22-24 Foley Street 1 Dublin, Dublin Ireland

This year our ‘Summer Institute’ will be more of a ‘Summer Seminar’ on ‘Integrating faith and work in contemporary Ireland’.

Work is where most Christians spend most of their time. Every Christian is called to be part of God’s mission to the world. How do these two facts go together?

This two-day Summer Seminar will bring together a variety of Christians living and working in Ireland to learn and reflect together on being a follower of Jesus in the complex, fast-changing, often challenging and uncertain world of work. There will be a series of speakers from different ‘worlds of work’ in Ireland today: business, education, voluntary sector, Christian ministry; health as well as those ‘working at home’ looking after children and family. There will be teaching on a biblical theology of work and reflection on the changing nature of modern work. Together we will discuss, think about, pray and practically work out how our Christian faith, discipleship and mission relate to the particular workplace that God has put us.

Who For?
Everyone wishing to be challenged, better equipped and encouraged to connect their faith with their work.– why not bring a group from your church to learn, discuss and apply this together in your own local church?
