In sub Saharan Africa, up to 85 % of girls drop out of school early. This frightening statistic means that young girls will most likely:
- Marry and have children while still children themselves
- Contract diseases such as AIDS / HIV
- Become victims of abuse and gender violence.
However by enabling girls to attend both primary and secondary school and receive a quality education they will be more likely to grow into educated, strong, healthy women who will be the change makers within their families, communities and their nations. Join us to find out the reasons behind this statistic and how you can be part of reducing it!
